We are committed to providing impartial and fair minded inspections. Our allegiance is to the consumer. We see the property as it is and report exactly what we find, without prejudice, bias or distortion.
Top to bottom inspection of your prospective home. Have us look before you buy, it is a most prudent action to get for yourself involving a purchase of this magnitude.
Sewer lines are one of those areas that no one looks at until there's a problem. Highlander Inspections has invested in sewer cameras and locators to identify and then locate observed defects in the drain line from the building to the tie-in at the tank or city sewer line. Roots, cracks, breaks, corrosion, trapped water & debris, dislodged connections. These are some of the usual suspects we find lurking. When repair costs for a sewer line can run in the thousands of dollars, a wee look see down the pipe might be worth the while. And when no observable defects is the report, it's reassuring as a property owner.
Moisture hidden away is a conducive environment for fungal growth. Though mold is part of our daily lives, we are not encouraged to grow it in an uncontrolled environment. Being a well trained inspector, using technology to locate areas of interest and concern along with knowing how to use those tools, reduces liabilities and exposure to costly expenses. Schedule your inspection and see what we can do for you!
A unique service we offer is Thermal Imaging.
As a Certified Residential Thermographer using an infrared camera, conditions hidden to the naked eye can be revealed when the right conditions exist.
Detecting the lurking expenses is made easier with a camera that senses surface temperature of the objects in view.
The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI®) promotes a high standard of professionalism, business ethics and inspection procedures. InterNACHI® members subscribe to the following Code of Ethics in the course of their business.
You can review the Code of Ethics we subscribe to here:
As a member of InterNACHI, we subscribe to a widely accepted standard which encompasses what is inspected and what is excluded. There are elements to a house or property that are essential features, and then there are other elements that are simply cosmetic. It is our duty to bring awareness to the systems or components within them that will have an effect on:
1) Safety
2) Liability
3) Habitability
There is a vast nomenclature used in the building trades, inspection service and real estate industry. Here is a link to much of what we use on a day to day basis:
